County Pairs Success

Congratulations to Cliff Goodwin&Steve Murphy and Alix Rouse&Andy Sales. Both pairs reached the area finals of the Essex County Pairs, a tremendous achievement. Cliff and Steve played Ryan Mann and Russell Harmour from Silver End Bowls Club, two Essex Middleton Cup bowlers, and in a hard-fought game at Saffron Walden narrowly lost 21-17. Alix and Andy took on Peter Hart and Phil Wood at Bocking Alliance Bowls Club and continuing their excellent run, came out winners 19-11. They are now through to the last sixteen and play Frank Abbott and Scott Reading from Romford Bowls Club on Tuesday 26th June, 6.15pm start, at Saffron Walden. Come along and support Alix and Andy as they aim for a place in the quarter-finals.
