What a game!

22 shots scored in 21 ends, what a game! Alix Rouse and Andy Sales came so close to going through to the quarter-finals of the Essex County Pairs but just lost out to Romford duo Frank Abbott and Scott Reading, 10-12. The score reflects the closeness of the contest and the high quality of bowls from all four players. Scott said, "I've been playing bowls for a long time but never with a result like that after 21 ends." Frank and Scott have both played over 100 county games for Essex and their experience helped them edge a very close game. Congratulations to Alix and Andy on reaching this far in the competition and on being chosen to represent Essex against Suffolk in the Eastern Counties League on Saturday 30th June at Dunmow Bowls Club.
